Dr. Lauren Hawkins, ND is a licensed naturopathic doctor focused on educating people on how to live their best, balanced lives. She believes that everyone has the power to be their own health advocate and change their health for the better. After completing her undergraduate education at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, she attended the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine in Bridgeport, CT where she obtained her naturopathic doctorate degree.

Growing up in a family that emphasized healthy living, Dr. Hawkins learned early the importance of maintaining health through nutrition and the healing power of natural remedies. Realizing that she wanted to focus on a prevention based model of treatment and healthcare, she turned to naturopathic medicine. Within this wonderful profession, Dr. Hawkins is able to understand human pathology to address chronic and acute conditions from a holistic perspective.

Her approach involves listening to each person’s individual story to assess the root cause of illness.  She then addresses concerns with personalized lifestyle modifications and modalities including nutrition, lifestyle counseling, botanical medicine, energetic treatments, and physical medicine.

"It's such a joy and a blessing to work in this field and partner with my patients on their path to better health and wholeness- mind, body and spirit."

About Naturopathic Medicine

“Naturopathic medicine is a distinct primary health care profession, emphasizing prevention, treatment, and optimal health through the use of therapeutic methods and substances that encourage individuals’ inherent self-healing process. The practice of naturopathic medicine includes modern and traditional, scientific, and empirical methods.” - The American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP)

It’s the most holistic form of medicine you’ll come across! All aspects of you are taken into account and addressed to shift your body back into a state of health and wellbeing.  The focus is on lasting care, not quick fix treatments and bandages. Whether health prevention, preparation, or promotion, naturopathic medicine has you covered.
